Although Ethiopia is the source of Arabica coffee, it is difficult and rare to get green coffee directly from local producers. That is why Bekele Yetute is especially special to us, who was supported by a project created specifically for small producers to process and sell his coffee. With this, 30 years of experience as a coffee producer became available to the whole world, which brought financial stability to Bekele, his family and other farmers, so they finally only have to focus on what they really want.
Plantation and Processing
This green coffee comes from an altitude of 2150 meters, this and the cool climate is ideal for the slow ripening of the cherries, resulting in denser and more complex beans than usual. It grows in native forests and in the shade of trees, and begins its journey into the cup hand-picked and picked, as has been the custom here for generations.
